A photo facing towards the abandoned Nowra Meatworks (located in Bamarang, west of Nowra Hill) I can't find much on the old abattoir besides the purchasing of the site in 2004 by Delta Electricity for $1,000,000, they later sold the site to Snowy Hydro in 2011 for $9,000,000.
It remained abandoned until mid-2016 when the site was secured and demolished, as of December 2018, it remains vacant and unused.
I took these photos back in July 2015 and have been holding onto them until now.
The building itself was a massive concrete and red brick structure (Pic 5,9,10,11,12) that made up what I assume was the kill floor (No Photos) which leads feed form a wooden floor waiting area (Pic 1,2,3,14,15) which led from the stockyard to the south of the structure.
To the west of the main building there lied two sheds, one of which was what I presume was either a mechanics shop, truck inspection bay or washing station due to the trenches within the floor (Pic 6)
